Eaton Posi into a non Posi 67

As the title suggests, how difficult is it to install an Eaton posi unit into a non-posi housing on a 67 small block once the housing is out of the car? Is this something a local competent rearend/transmission shop can perform without too much difficulty? TIA for any advice. The rear end does need rebuilding, so I figured this would be a good time for the upgrade. TIA Al

Basically, it's a bolt-in upgrade. Remove the ring gear from the non-posi differential and bolt it onto the posi differential, and set it up per the book.
If you can do rearends, then do it yourself.

As Tom said, it is a direct bolt in. Are you using a new loaded Eaton or building a better original 72 - 79 unit?

Thanks Tom and Gary. It will be a new Eaton unit. Anyone know of a source that can beat the Jeg's price of $559 with free shipping?

With free shipping, that is probably about the best rate. ALTHOUGH, you might try Gears R Us.
