    Alternator date range?

What is an acceptable date range for an alternator on a 1970 LS5 with G18 build date? Not sure if 69 dated units are to early or not?

The block is dated C26-70, heads are D1-70 and E1-70 if that helps.

The NCRS guideline is six months, so an alternator dated in 1970 is fine.

Does your car have AC with the 1100884 alternator? Those are expensive.

Yes, it does have AC, and unfortunately means that I need the 884 alternator.
