    53-54 tachometer cable length

    Does anyone know the correct length for the tachometer cable in an early 54? The one in the car I'm working on functions properly but it is longer than others that I've seen.

      Nobody responded to my question but another very reliable source suggested I check the 53-54 parts catalog. I did and found the flexible Tachometer Cable listed as part # 1582825 with a length of 43 21/32". The 21/32" seems like an odd size to me but I'm sure they had their reasons. Hope this information can be useful to others too.
