65 396 rear carrier and rear case casting numbers

Have not been able to find casting number for the differential rear end case number nor the rear cover for the 1965 396. Looked in ncrs 65 Judging Guide and Nolan Adams Restoration 63-67. Anyone out there that can provide this info?

I found a differential carrier cast date 12-28-65 Casting number 3876478. This was to late for 65 396 what car does this rear end number go on?

I am still looking for the case number you gave me for the 1965 396 which was 3876476, correct?

There was no 3876478 carrier housing. The last digit is a "6" although it may look like an "8". That's a common problem with casting numbers. The 3876476 was used from 1965 through 1979.
