    Holley 2300 base gaskets

    I'm trying to cure an off-idle hesitation on a 67 setup . Among the things I've noticed is that I used the 500CFM gaskets instead of the smaller opening 350's. I'm assuming that's not correct & could cause a problem even not related to the above? If so, what are the anticipated issues around these gaskets? What composition is the best to use? THANKS !

    Ralph, the first thing I would check for regarding the hesitation is to make sure that the accelerator pump squirters are not plugged. Regarding the gaskets, 2300 carb base gaskets are unique to the 2300.

      I know the squirters could be an issue & understand it's suggested to try going up at least 3 sizes. ( I have a 24 size now & 28 & 35 to try.)
      Lot's of inter-related things to deal with on these things!
