    Part numbers opti C4

    My original 1993 opti had a part number engraved on the side. Why are AC delco replacements with out part numbers ?

      I don't think the part number of which you speak is a part number for the distributor ASSEMBLY. I believe it's a part number for a component of the assembly. In any event, features like that can change over years of manufacture for a variety of reasons.

      However, I believe all of the distributors sold today by GM/ACDelco are re-manufactured units. So, it does seem a little strange to me that the numbers are not there.
