Carter Choke Housing 3461S

I picked up a NOS Choke housing GM 3759946 for a Carter 3461S (63 327/340) and it has what appear to be a date code on the edge. My original carb does not have any date code on the edge of housing, just the scribe mark for setting the choke.

Did the originals have any date code which is what I currently have on the car?

I'm assuming that it was made in April 1988. What if any implications for using the choke housing with the AR588 date code?

I don't know what the numbers mean but I would not hesitate one minute to use that choke coil housing on my 3461. Come to think of it mine may have the same numbers because it was replaced with a new housing years ago.
