C2 and C3 rear end front yoke size

I have a 3 1/2" wide yoke (pinion gear shaft) which fits my 1963 and a 4 1/4" one that does not it hits the inside of drive shaft tunnel. What year does the larger yoke fit.

Well, it's hard to say for sure since the size of the flange (yoke) could apply to many different flanges. However, assuming it's a Corvette flange, it's likely a GM #3879208 which was used for 1968-70 with THM-400 transmission and all 1971-79. This flange was also used for other Chevrolet applications.

Assuming that your 1963 differential has an original pinion shaft, the 3879208 would not fit on that shaft even if it did not otherwise interfere with the drive shaft tunnel. Your application originally used a 17 spline flange and pinion shaft whereas the 3879208 (and all 1965-79) used 30 splines.

The GM #3879208 is often identified by the embossment "9210".
