1963 seat installation

The judging manual says 1964 seat front rail bolted directly to floor but nothing about 1963. Is the 63 rail bolted over the carpeting?

Check page 35 of the Judging Guide for a 63 picture. It can also be cut to leave a flap that folds back over after installation to hide the bracket and the bolts.

The picture Joe Ray posted is from an early car, they had a deep recess in the floor. If you have a late car there is no recess and the carpet is not removed from the area under the seat. I'll see if I can find a picture of a late car and post it.

Here is a picture of a late 63, The carpet at the front legs should be folded and not under the front feet as this picture indicates. Sere the picture Harry posted earlier.
