Front Sway Bar, change Rubber Bushings, C2

I plan to replace the rubber bushing of the sway bar (66 L72) and have reviewed articles in the archives, so plan to: 1) raise front of car; 2) remove link bolt, bushings, hardware 3) replace link bolt/hardware with new bushing but not torque at this point 4) replace bushing around sway bar 5) do same for other side 6) lower car to ground then torque link bolts between 9 and 12ft lbs.

Is this a correct way to do it? Also, do the various corvette part vendors pretty much carry the same type rubber bushings? thanks

John, you should be able to just remove the rubber bushngs one at a time to replace, no need to remove the links. I USE L. I. Corvette for the bushings, there the closest to me .

Any local auto parts store will be able to get you Moog bushings.

Kieth ,I am not sure but sometimes with Moog they are a Urethane style bushing, if so they blue in color. for judging that would not be correct. Maybe they still make the rubber one??
