the 69 i am restoring was missing the luggage rack. There are only four mounting holes (two on each side). The only after market units I have found are either 6 or 8 holes and none of these will fit my holes( my holes are too wide). I know that these were dealer installed options. Can anyone help me find the correct rack for my car. Thanks

Re: 1969 corvette luggage rack
I understand the 68 and 69 luggage racks were also used on Corvairs. Might try and search that avenue.
Russ, 68-69 luggage racks were typically different than the 70 up racks. They were mounted at the four corners. See the pictures in the new judging manual.

Thanks for the info Gary. I don't think I have ever seen a 68-69 then.I understand the 68 and 69 luggage racks were also used on Corvairs. Might try and search that avenue.

As a reminder, PDF versions of Corvette brochures (low & high resolution) can be found at the GM Heritage Center.
This same location also has some of the older Corvette News magazines.
