    Tim

I can see it has been a few years since you have been there. The "L" now cost $5 from O'hare on the Blue line.

I understand. Sometimes we just have to follow the Nike motto... "Just do it." Coming from Miami, I wouldn't consider Rosemont a big city. The good thing is that the main hotels are just across the street from the convention center and the staging area they use prior to entering the convention site is across the street as well. It's plug and play.

Thanks Ed, anything for me is a big city, when you come from a small place of a hundred people so far from civilization. But 1400 miles or so is manageable, I went to KC with a trailer, so maybe Chi Town is not too much bigger and worse traffic towing, so I should just do it.

Paul, I do go to the event every year, but now I stay at one of the hotels with a shuttle. I can't believe the "L" is five bucks now.

The best part it is $5 only from O'hare but standard rate going back.

I took a 40 minute train ride downtown on the blue line to meet a friend for lunch and the cost was $5 round trip.

There were many, many Corvettes as well as every make and model of muscle cars. Over 600 in attendance and plenty to see and do for any car guy. Just Awesome!

We've attended every year since the show's inception (only missed 2012) and it is the best indoor classic car show on the planet. Period.

There is something for everyone and the best aspect of the show is every year you leave seeing something you'd never see otherwise. This year we saw a wonderful '58 Biscayne with factory fuel injection. The quality of Super Cars (Yenko, COPO, ZL1, dealer network cars) is impressive and if you're a passenger car guy like me, seeing the Z28s, and Super Sports is great too. The survivor car display in the Legends Certification area is a must stop and shamefully while my evolving education is focused on Chevy cars, the Mopars and Fords (Hemi, factory racers, day2 cars, Boss 302/429, and Shelbys) are simply put - on another level. A personal favorite is the Barn Find and Hidden Gems display which feature exactly that - new discoveries, survivors, special projects and former racers.

In 2010 I displayed my extensive collection of Motion Performance memorabilia in the "Motion Madness" display with Joel Rosen and Marty Schorr in attendance and in 2011 we showed our former '66 L72 Corvette for a Triple Diamond Award and had the pleasure of parking next to Steve Bramati and his magnificent '67 435 convert.

In closing, if you have never been before you're missing out. Put this on the calendar for 2018.

                                Dan
