    Past NCRS Judging '64 Fuelie

I am considering the purchase of a '64 Fuelie car. The current (third) owner believes the car was judged in the 1990s or 2000s.

With the VIN or other identifying information, is it possible to obtain past NCRS judging results? I understand that things may have changed since then.

    Thanks - Dennis

click on Services in large tool bar above, then Historic Document Services, then Car Award Confirmation Service. Pay the fee and you will learn when and where the car has been flight judged previously. You will also receive a shipping data report for the car.

The fee for a cars judging record is very salty. Be prepared for a shock.

Also,as you probably are looking for, it will not give you any judging information, only award confirmation, such as Top Flight, 2nd Flight, etc... You should try to optain the old judging sheets, but the car could be completely different by now.
Have someone knowledgeable review the car in it's current condition

I agree, my car has only been judged under my ownership, (6 X's) still I would like to have the NCRS document showing this. I sprung for the Shippng Data report knowing the selling dealer info, that was reasonable, Award Confirmation not so much. JMHO

Wow, we are pretty proud of this service aren't we!? It wouldn't be quite so difficult to justify if not for the "if there is no judging information available the charges are still valid." Plus, I was looking for the judging information not simply the result. The current owner doesn't have the judging sheets. Many thanks for your help & input.

The judging sheets are provided to the owner once judging is complete and the results have been entered. NCRS does NOT maintain judging sheets, never has.

i had considered checking this on my 66 but when I saw the price it was just not worth it to find out it had never been judged. Lots of other things on the car to spend that kind of money on that make more sense. The Board may want to look at that.

I've had my 64FI done multiple times (National & Regional) since 2007 always top flight, but different scores and different defects. Get the blank Judging Sheets & AIM and do yourself before any shows. As for the present ask somebody in your club to look at the car.
The judging has matured a lot since 2007 so past sheets will only pick up the really major defects, do not bother. Again best bet is to have somebody good look the car over.
                  Then the fun begins!

Yeah, I find it amusing that in a recent thread on the Corvette forum when I asked about the value of a car with a color change and some responded with what the NCRS point deduction would be. When I asked about a correlation to dollars they said the organization was not about the money but rather restoring cars to an "as delivered to the dealer condition." I got my NCRS Restorer recently and was reviewing the "Details of Operating Expenses and STATEMENTS OF FINANCIAL POSITION" and see that the increase for 2016 from beginning of year to end of year for 2016 was $140,945.00 for the "unrestricted net assets. But the organization is not about the money.

                      Darryl,
Not quite sure what any of this has to do with the OPs original question.
