Re: 1955 voltage regulator
That's a 725 in the judging guide, not a 825. 825 was the regulator the NCRS originally accepted for a 1955, 12V system. 825 and 826 amps are the same.- Top

Re: 1955 voltage regulator
A little more thought and research might be required to answer this question. The 1118825 was a 30 amp. 12 volt regulator designed to replace: (1118749, 1118750, 1118826.) The 1118825 was used on:
Buick 1953 50, 70; 1954-55
Cadillac 1953-55
Chevrolet Pass 1955 w power steering/air cond.
Oldsmobile 1953-55
The 1118827 was a 45 amp 6 volt regulator and the dealer was instructed to use it if and when replacing the 6 volt 1118725- Top

Re: 1955 voltage regulator
The 1118825 was not designed to replace 1118826. There are no 825 or 826 regulators dated 56. 55 Corvettes were using the 826 thru December of 55. The regulators are interchangeableA little more thought and research might be required to answer this question. Re: 1955 voltage regulator
Good for a driver or a car that has already been judged. It will appear correct. If your car it being judged it is not within 6 months and not the 826 number that the judges look for.- Top
