    1955 rear shocks

    I have the original fronts, I'm puzzled by date on these, April 5, 54, my car is a late July 55. I assume the rears should have stone guards and have similar dates? thank for any help Ronnie

      The June 1954 Pts Bk under Gr. 7.345 shows 53-4 "rear, cyl type (561P) (4F6/OV/B1).......5520279/
      The July 1955 Pts Bk shows the same entry but changes the "4" in "53-4" to a "5"; according to the Pts Bk, it's the same shock; yours just enjoyed a longer "pre-employment" vacation.
