Whats wrong with this Pic Newbie 66 L79 N40 alternator brace

Hello all,
Im new to this, ive read many threads about alternator braces.. here a new issue as i can tell.
Im assembling my rebuilt 66 L79 N40 on my Test Engine stand and im finding my alternator brace slot doesnt line up with the alternator adjustment bolt. Alternator #1100693. The brace is a part# 3868882 but as you can see doesnt line up with the alternator. any suggestions,

The curvature on the brace does not look correct, wrong brace. It does not look like original on my cars. Sorry I’m not up on part numbers to verify P/N you sited.

Kerry,
You have the wrong brace for your application...doesn't have the correct curve to clear the alternator body. See attached...

Thanks alot, i thought as much, some how i was under the impression that brace #3868882 was the correct brace.
