1967 window cranks

Have Al Knoch's door panels on a roadster. Window cranks won't compress enough to catch the keepers in the groove. Has anyone else had this problem with Al Knoch panels, and what did you do about it? Thanks in advance, Phil

With help push really hard back on the door panel while someone else slaps the crank really hard.

Heat up the door panel with a hair dryer on low and see if that helps.

I agree, use a hair dryer NOT a heat gun.

Be advised that too much pressure by the door panel against the crank it may pop off during use. That little “C” clip can only hold so much. There is a square wire version of this “C” clip that will withstand more force. I’ve had better success with Corvette America panels. But nothing fits like an original.
