    Dash ends/Rivets color

'67 cvt, Red with White/Black interior - friend asked what color should the ends of the dash in the door jambs and the rivets be? My '67 JG is 2 editions old, so what's the correct answer in 2017? Thanks.

    Red, to match the exterior.

Yes it will be red but it will not match exactly. It is spotted in afterwards. Car is painted, afterwards the dash is installed. That’s the reason for the edge line of paint on the dash pads.

Understand the paint spot in is not done on matching color interior and exterior color cars. In which case the rivets with remain black as installed and no paint on dash pads.
