I have just bought a original 1970 LT1 convertible. The car has low miles and has not been modified or wrecked. the A.I.R. system was taken off and thrown away years ago. any ideas where i could find the correct system ? The best i can tell most all of the parts are original to the car.

You might try Bill Hodel. He is a good source of parts and service for the A.I.R. systems. He can be contacted at biilhodell@sbcglobal.net.- Top

Re: A.I.R. injection pump 1970 LT1
My situation was identical to you regarding the car and AIR system. I did purchase a complete system thinking I was done. Since then I have found and replaced the pulley (was an original, but wrong), fan (was reproduction), hoses (were reproduction), clamps (reproduction) and diverter valve (nice, but restored vs original). If you are paying all the money and get nice original parts that's good. If I were to do it over I might buy a restored correct dated pump and buy the rest piece by piece. If you buy a "restored" pump ask what bearings they used and if the graphite internal parts were replaced. I have a de-vaned pump, my choice, so internal parts were removed. For more detail, you can message me.- Top
