Morning Keith, hope you are well? This hood is on a 68, and when brought by my buddy, it was from a NCRS guy in New Jersey. Seems no love ? -

This hood looks like a GM L-88 hood that had been modified at one time then repaired using a later GM piece to hold the air cleaner foam. Most aftermarket L-88 hoods use some hand laid parts on the underside. This one uses only smooth molded GM pieces without gel coat. However, the air cleaner opening seems to have been cut out at one time (maybe for use on a tripower air cleaner?) and replaced with a section of SMC fiberglass from the 67 L-88 hood adapter sold by the GM parts dept for many years.Comment

100% correct to my knowledge. It had a tripower shape so I concur with you Patrick the bottom box when repaired was from Ecclestone. So the rest looks good for GM. Thank you for taking the time to reply. Have a great weekend. MComment
