63/64 Steel Wheel

Need some help - how should the 63/64 original steel wheels be marked for date?
I have found sets w/numbers stamped near the valve stem but some not. Want
to get at least an original for a spare but want to get the right wheel for judging.

And article published in "The Restorer" several years ago outlines the correct wheels including dating for the C-1 thru C-2. Several years ago but it can be found by searching on the CD's available from the NCRS.

Jim, 63/64 wheels where date stamped on the inside of wheel, I believe that sometime in 65 the date started appearing at the valve stem.

I respectfully disagree. Original wheels did not receive stamps of any kind by the valve stem hole outboard side until sometime in the 1967 model year.
