Lonely C3 on the left near the fence so maybe this was taken in the late 60's.

Re: Old Corvette Junk Yard photo
I found this on another forum and someone said Lincoln's in the Seattle area too, unsure.
Someone else said the photo was in a old Hot Rod Magazine May 78 issue.

"WOW", this brings back some fond memories. If you look at the view next to the station wagon, the rear end of a C-1 with a push bar. In 1971 I was drag racing a 60 around the western US. I crashed at Lions Drag strip at 130 MPH, totaled the front end and smashed the hard top. The small roll bar saved my gourd. I sold the car to a corvette salvage yard in Whittier, Ca. I don't recall the name of the facility. I pulled out the motor and trans, the 10 inch Goodyears, mounted on Crager mags and the 4 inch front tires on Cragers. Saved the S/W tach and other small items. I sold the 330 inch, 500hp+ motor which went into drag boat. The clue is the push bar and the funky roll bar and the smashed top. Where was this photo found, there may be more.- Top

Re: Old Corvette Junk Yard photo
They were just old, plastic cars back then....throwaways in hurt badly enough.
Rich - I know you got some nasty weather down Sebastian way (tornadoes, etc.) a couple of days ago.
Sincerely hope your place is alright!- Top

Re: Old Corvette Junk Yard photo
It has to be Lincoln's wrecking yard. I can tell because I see Puetz's driving range in the background. I grew up around the corner from '58 to '70. That picture was taken from the north to the south however I don't remember the corvettes ever being stored in that portion of the lot. They were stored on the west side along Aurora Ave. as far as I can remember. I remember when the wooden fence was replaced with wheels that were welded together to create a fence that still exists today.- Top

Agreed. Been there several times in the late 1960's and early 1970's. Here are a few more pictures in color (Last one with the wheel fence).

Perry and Edward, you have a much better memory than me (but that was the 70's). I don't remember the yard looking like that but I only went out there a few times as most of the parts I bought were up front in the building.

Yes we had a Tornado Warning. Allegedly a tunnel cloud that never touched down. Thankfully, it was about 5 miles away.- Top
