Re: 1967 427-435 COUPES , how many
GM didn't keep detailed records back then breaking down options between the different body styles. I think the official records state 3,754 L71's were produced during the 1967 model year. Any number you might read as a breakdown is an estimate. I've heard it said that more 427-435HP Corvettes exist now then were produced in 1967.

Re: 1967 427-435 COUPES , how many
If you do it mathematically with an even distribution between both body styles, out of the 22940 '67 Corvette built 8504 were coupes or about 37.070619% so that would make the number of coupes with 427 435HP engine approximately 1391.631037. I doubt very much the distribution between coupes and convertibles were close to even, so this estimate is likely way off. Would anyone else like to check my math.

I think that is a good estimate Mike. But you are not counting all the ones that were built in Houston instead of St. Louis..........Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Re: 1967 427-435 COUPES , how many
I figured give or take the number of 1967 coupes with 427-435 is around 1,200 build , GM only made 3,754 427-435 and if you even that between the both body styles is 1,877 there were ALOT more Convertibles build with 427-435 in 1967 so i think it safe to say about 1,200 coupes with 427-435 were build in 1967.Leif

Re: 1967 427-435 COUPES , how many
I guess my question is, if you had all that information and an established theory before you posted your thread, why post it in the first place. I'll never understand why someone poses a question, gets all the opinions of others and then answers their own question for themselves. What a time kill.- Top

First response to your thread is the best answer - GM didn't keep records. Nobody knows. Anything else is uninformed speculation.

GM made certain records for 1967 , so I guess it all uninformed speculation that they only made 8,504 coupes and only 3,754 427-435 oh well ??- Top

Sad but true. Otherwise that dumbass thread reviewing car shows would have been closed long ago. Seriously, how does that qualify as a "technical topic"?- Top
