Keeping your Top Flight Corvette detailed.

So I was wondering just how you all keep your cars detailed? I'm mostly wondering what you are all doing under the hood and on the chassis to keep it looking presentable? I'm mostly trying to just remove the dust that accumulates, mostly from sitting.

Getting in all the nooks and crannies is obviously VERY labour intensive so there must be a simpler way.
I was going to just spray it lightly with water but that will leave spots all over as well as rust the natural iron parts. I suppose using distilled water might reduce any spots but rust will still be a concern.

Is there some sort of cleaner that is good at rinsing away dust and not leaving spots or rusting the bare metal pieces or am I too wishful?

If only dusty, compressed air followed with a California Duster. Have separate CD for paint use only to avoid contamination and scratches.

I have found that "Swiffer Duster" works great on interior detailing in particular, and also some use in engine compartment. My car is a driver, so can't comment on undercarriage other than hosing off the mud occasionally!

Great suggestion. I bought a setup yesterday.

Greg, I have always used Adams detailer works on just about any surface. Just spray a little on a towel and wipe.

Agree with the above posts. In my opinion, the best way to keep a car looking pristine is to have it a controlled environment if possible. Abrupt changes in temperature and humidity is the enemy.
