    Incorrect Carb

My 1966 L72 has a 3886101-EI R3247A Model 4150 with a 0110 date code. It has a 4902 Primary and 3828 Secondary (should be 4901 and 4519 respectively) which leads me to believe it's either a Service Replacement or off of a 1970 Big Block (maybe 454 Chevelle). My question is: Is there a significant difference in the metering blocks and will this carb negatively reduce HP/performance?

    Re: Incorrect Carb

George, GM made so many carb.s and the reason was for driveability, fuel economy, emissions, horsepower. Not say the you car would not run with what you have, but there are some differences. Best to have the correct numbered carb or at least a service replacement one. There are many aftermarket carb.s, but proper jetting to get the best out off any engine is required, and a dyno helps.
