For those of you who know Bob, he was involved in a serious car accident on Wednesday. In surgery today. Serious but could have been a lot worse. Remember him in you prayers.

I wanted to pass on an update about Bob Young After six days in Trauma ICU he is back at home resting. The heart procedure he had yesterday did not reveal any definitive cause of his blackout, so that is still on the table. He is a long way from recovery with his right eye but there is some optimism now. Email Bob if you want to at rlyoung63@aol.com. Bob Young....the man I credit with my love of the Corvette. I met he and wife Lynne in 1983 when I joined the Glen Regional Corvette Club in Elmira, NY. Bob was doing tech seminars for the club in those good ole days. I got hooked. I would go to his home in Caton, NY and watch him put together very rare C2's he found in junk piles..including several tankers that ended up with top prizes at NCRS and Bloomington. He is so meticulous, everything being done to original factory look and noting everything he found regarding how the factory put the cars together. There are not many if any more knowledgeable on the 1963 year. His notebooks would have to be worth a fortune to the NCRS.

He got me my first NCRS judging job back in the late 1980's. I call him the Master. That he is.

Just got off the phone with Bob. He is up and about at home, but the issue yet is if the doctors can save his eye.
