    Radio Feedback Loop

This is related to my 2005, is there any way to logically and methodically isolate what may be causing the hum in my rear speakers? I am assuming it is some sort of feedback loop. Still hums when car / radio is off and stops when I open the door. Typical to the hum, it gets louder under acceleration.

    Any suggestions are appreciated.
    Thanks

    If it's a BOSE system, then it's probably a bad amp/speaker.

Thanks Ken. seems like a great place to start. If I disconnect the faulty speaker, or amp altogether, should the hum stop, verifying the issue is associated with the speaker or amp? I ask because some of the research I have done suggests that you may have to chase ghosts and gremlins to finally locate where the issue is coming from.

      Thanks again for the reply

Yes, disconnect both, 1 at a time.

Just a note. There is a Delayed Power Down(they call it Retained Accessory Power) associated with the electrical system. With IGN off, it stays powered for a time period, until the Driver door is opened. In some cases there is additional delay to power off interior lamps etc. When I was diagnosing a short in my '06 Silverado pickup, I had to wait until the Power Down Delay deactivated before I started pulling fuses and circuit breakers while monitoring a Ammeter in series with the battery. Turned out to be a 3 amp constant draw in the Sunroof circuit.

I also have a buzz in my '07 Corvette. But in my case it's from the Instrument Cluster. It's always a slight buzzing sound with engine running. I suspect one of the gauges is making the noise, likely the tach. I learned to ignore it.

Ha, normally I might just turn the radio up louder to drown the hum, but I think my radio is the culprit - hard to ignore on my end
Thanks for the additional advice. heading into the garage shortly to start chasing this.
              Thanks again guys.
