    CraigsList.org

Is there a way on CraigsList to search for a car across their geographies?

For example, if looking for a Corvette, do I need to go into each CraigsList site separately (e.g. Orange County, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Palm Springs...)?

Or is there some way to do a global search?

I know some of you are expert car finders, hence the post here.

    Peace.

I'll ask Google for other engines as you suggested.

      Mark,
      I use Search Tempest. http://www.searchtempest.com

Put in the keyword and your zip code then select the distance. It an option for any miles. It starts closest and goes out from there.

There's kind of a confusing popup that appears, just click on "No Stay on Search Tempest"

      Good Luck!

      Mike

try AD Hunter-search all of craigslist.
I found a car in Philadelphia using that site.

Agree with Mike...I have had some success with searchtempest.com and like the option to limit the number of miles.

An optional way to search craigslist is to go to your favorite search engine and type something like, "66 corvette, craigslist, California".

I use Craigslist all the time. It doesn't cost anything. I do a lot of buying & selling. Go to the closest Craigslist of your area and type in what year Corvette your looking for. It will bring up what's in the area. If nothing, then click on the next town you don't mind going to and try that area. You can also go to the different states and click on what town. I search all over the country and it doesn't take that long. Don't fool around with any texes, phones calls only or direct e-mails. I like to talk to whom I'm dealing with. If there's a suspicion, met in a place where there's lots of people. I've never had a issue but I've heard some people do. I've had nothing but good luck with Craigslist.

You might try zoomthelist.com. I've used it in the past successfully.

                    Re: CraigsList.org

You can do a Google search, and limit the search to a certain website. For example, to search for a 1967 Corvette on the website craigslist.org (all locations), type this into the Google search window, and hit search:

                    1967 corvette site:craigslist.org

Just as an aside, you can also use this Google technique to search for short (2-3 character) keyword terms on this site; e.g.:

                    70 LT1 gas site:ncrs.org
