The name of the site is> GMPhotoStore

This full size mahogany model of Chevrolet's '53 Corvette was built in late 1952 to be certain that all of the exterior parts fit together properly before production molds were built to produce its fiberglass body. Constructed of flawless, perfect-plank mahogany, the buck itself is a work of art.

That mahogany model is indeed a beautiful work of art. Anyone know if it still exists somewhere?

Which plant assembled the 366 pictured above?

In the pre-digital days the wood model was the master reference for all parts. They were still in limited use when I started my career over 30 years ago.
