Gold Stripe Tires

Time for some new tires(due to dry rot Craking) I would like to put a set of gold stripe radial on the car and keep the 1 inch white wall silvetons to look at on the shelve (ha ha). Anyway what would be recommended that would be somewhat correct for a 66?

I bought some Coker gold line radials for my '66, I think they are the only gold line radial out there, I didn't see any in the Diamondback catalog.

ok thanks for the lead on diamondbacks, I just got off the phone with them and they do offer a gold line 205/75X15 for 229.00. have to check the Coker site next

I agree with Michael, buy the gold lines from Diamondback. I have them on my '65 and they've been great.

And, you can easily run a 215/70R15. Basically the same height as the factory original tire with a bigger footprint...no interference issues.

Tony, just installed Diamondback DB-II 205/75 -15 tires (manufactured by Toyo), on my '67 and I can highly recommend them. They required very little weight to balance them on my rally's. Had the car up beyond legal limit on the interstate with a very stable, no shimmy ride. The Cooker's that were previously on the car would cause a bad shimmy starting at 65 mph & get progressively worse the faster you went.
