70 Convertible top header weatherstrip, wind lace, and tension cables

Can someone post pictures of an original top showing the header weatherstrip and wind lace and maybe even the tension cables?

    1. Do the staples show where the wind lace attaches?
    2. Did the factory rivet the header weatherstrip to the header at the ends or just use a little adhesive?
    3. Did the header weatherstrip tuck slightly under the front most weatherstrip?
    4. Did original tension cables have springs in the front and can they be seen. Cables see to be attached but I could not see a spring on either side.

I saw picture of what I think was a 67 top in a tread on this board. It said there is a flap that is over the staples as part of the wind lace and that flap tucks in to the header.

The pads and straps are original.Previous owner put on a top but it is a mediocre job at best.

Any recommendations on top installers in Maryland?

I am also more than amenable to having a fellow NCRS member come over and maybe we can put on a top. Happy to return the favor one day. I have issues with my hands so it is unlikely I can pull the top tight enough myself. Arthritis.

    Thanks, Bill
