Is this fuel filter imported, or a good one for a 365 HP Corvette? (Not my car, but I know the owner.)

Here's a pic of a similar one from AC Delco. According to the box it is made in the USA however it might be referring to the box and not the item in the box.
This filter was distributed by AC Delco but has the groove on both the inlet and outlet.
The 65 will receive a deduction for a filter that was not originally available in 1965.

Tom, likely the filters you buy today are made overseas. I brought my M/Y filter from Long Island Corvette its correct in appearance and has been on my car now for 7 years.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Jim. You would not be pleased with the big fat filter that was available from AC a few years ago. It looks like a Chevy truck filter with the small 5/16" fittings. I did not know they were still available. Filter came with a huge clamp. Really unattractive. John- Top

Here's one similar to one I've had for decades ; AC box says Flint Mich. #5650677 Chevrolet Corvair (1962-1964), Spyder & Monza. Box end tab coded late 1968. Looks the same as the Corvette unit in this pic except the one I have now has small notches at the corner of the hex flats.
