    C2 Speedometer Restore

My odometer has died on my '66 and I've been looking for a shop that can rebuild it. The ones I'd like to use are in Florida and that's about to be washed away. There's a company "CGR Restoration" in South Carolina that advertises in the Driveline. I was wondering if anyone has used them and what their experience has been....

    thanks.

Yes. Joe is the way to go. He restored my complete cluster, radio, wiper motor, headlight motors and clock. I am thrilled with the way all of it came out and I am very particular. Jeff

The project is finished. Joe Ray did the rebuild on the speedometer/odometer and did a wonderful job with an exceptionally quick turnaround. When I first installed it, there was tremendous speedometer needle bounce. Joe had told me I might want to replace the cable so I made up a cable from one of those kits you get at the FLAPS. The bouncing was better but I wasn't satisfied and really didn't want to pull the cluster again. I lubed the cable a couple of times but still had a lot of needle fluctuation. I ordered a new sheath and cable for Long Island and put it in this afternoon. Success........ Steady needle!!!!!!!
