    72 engine wiring harness routing

Running the engine harness on 72 ls5 with a/c. Question is does it run in front or behind the wiper motor? Aim looks like it's in front but a few photos I've seen it appears has been run behind. Don't know if the big block makes a difference.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Mike,

I'm not home so can't look at my car right now, but I believe the engine harness routes behind/under the wiper motor. I replaced this on two cars over 25 years ago, so my memory is a bit faded.

If you don't get a more definitive answer when I return, I'll look at my car and advise.

Routing should be the same regardless of engine.

Thanks think I figured it out. This video is reference gold for anyone restoring a 72. https://youtu.be/bCd4ZvbcdpE

Very nice car, even better if you turn off the sound. It's obvious the guys talking have no clue.
However, despite what the one says, there are a few items that have been replaced or changed.

haha. I agree you have to turn off the sound. The 72 I'm restoring has been apart in boxes and off the frame for over 25 years in the back of a warehouse. It's the little things that are snagging me.
