I was under the impression that the 1963 Corvette 327ci/340hp motor came from the factory with solid lifters?

The 62-63 327CI 340HP motor came from the factory with a solid lifter engine. It had the 097 camshaft that is sometimes referred to as the Duntov camshaft.

If you hear one, properly tuned, its very distinctive....like an old treadle-operated Singer sewing machine some say...and fewer remember!
