1966 Glove Box Light Socket Removal

I put a new light socket in my glove box some years back. The bulb is not working now, tried a new one still not working. I have tried to remove the assemble but can't remember how.

First step is to disconnect the battery as this wire is always hot and easy to ground when removing. Then remove the bulb and wire from the socket, you then squeeze the prongs that secure it to the metal bracket and remove. Good luck, Don H.

      Don,

Of course, I broke the one I have. I think that I may have installed it wrong. I installed the prongs vertically (top & bottom) not horizontally (left to right)

Does anyone make a quality holder?

I think there is just one manufacturer and they are frail. Don H.
