I recently purchased a 1962 Oldsmobile vent window regulator for use on my Corvette.
The conversion is simple, just fill or mill off the small protrusion on one of the three attachment points.
I have pictures of before and after and of the Corvette regulator next to the Olds regulator.
The one I purchased had little to no discernible backlash in the handle.
You can see the raised boss in this picture on the Olds regulator on the right OEM Corvette on the left.

Here is a close up of the boss that needs to be removed.

Same part after I removed the boss.
The surface wasn't very flat! It bolts to a stamped steel plate so I doubt it matters.

It appears this same part is used on most of the GM line including the Pontiac and Buick and Chevrolet's.
Quit paying Corvette pricing for a simple GM part.
Or just use them for parts to repair you existing castings.
Fitment should be 1963 and 64 Coupes. I am confident that 1963-1964 Convertible 1965-1967 Coupes take a different part, it will have two lines on the shaft for the handle. I have only confirmed the fitment for the 1963 SWC. Possibly someone else can elaborate on the correct fitment.
I did check for stroke and the appear to be identical.
It was a quick and dirty check so double check to be sure.
Also note that their is an Restorer article in Volume 24 No. 4 Spring of 1998 by Bill Turner on the regulators.
I found this information after I wrote this article.
