Awesome display of the nine of the twenty built cars there this weekend. And firiday they started them up and did a short parade. My question is there any truly unrestored ones left. Or have they all been restored.

Re: 67 L88's at Corvettes at Carlisle
I think the black number 7 race car with the blue stinger was once Wayne Walker's 67 L-88 that was restored to NCRS condition from the partial remains of a pretty destroyed race car. Ironically, it looks like it has been re-restored by converting back to a race car. I'd be surprised if any of the original parts beyond the vin tag and maybe the frame remain. At the other extreme there is a red L-88 coupe that apparently has only 12 miles on it, but received some drag race preparation. It probably has had the least restoration. I knew the fellow who bought the Silver coupe at the show new at Rosenthal Chevrolet here in the Virginia suburbs of DC. He only kept it for a year or so because it was a poor street car. It was probably never cut up or raced.- Top
