How do I take the dash pad out on a '69

Guys,

How do I take the dash pad out of my '69? I have everything else out of the car but the dash pad is too wide to fit between the windshield pillars. I'm wondering if the dash was inserted prior to the windshield? I'm planning on taking out the windshield so if that's the case no biggee just wondering.

If you have the a-pillar trim off, make sure the car has been in the sun for a while. Then just gently lift/twist/bend it up and out. It does come come out easier sans windshield.

I have done a few I generally sit in the drivers seat and hold down the end on driver's then slight push upward in the middle and outward on the drivers, these pads can be a pill. be careful not to crack the pad. as Mike says heat up in the sunlight to make for a easier removal.
