    Sidepipes insulation

Is it possible to reattach the insulation to the metal sidepipe covers on my 67 Coupe? It has come loose at the front of the insulation just past the front tire. I tried to use some epoxy with a strong clamp to set the epoxy but it only held for a few weeks.
