How do I remove the courtesy lamp switches in the door jams?

Guys,

I'm trying to remove the courtesy lamp switches in the door jams and after removing the switches from the jam I can't figure out how to separate the nut from the switch or the wires from the switch in order to pull the switch wires out of the car. Of course I could cut the wires but I'm trying to remove the harness intact. I'm removing all the wiring to be replaced later. Thanks.

There should be a Restorer article about this as well as how to rebuild the switch. Probably 2011 or early 2012. You hopefully should have these (6) issues.

Vinnie may also have the exact copy date for you.

Unfortunately I do not have those restorer's saved. Are they available online or digitally? I have a restorer DVD but its from 2006. Does the latest restorer DVD cover those years?

I assume you are referring to a C3. Get a dental pic with a 1/2 inch long 90 degree bend. Compress the switch and insert the dental pic along side the terminal compressing the tang which will then release the terminal allowing you to pull it out of the round piece of plastic.
