Washer hose routing from washer to Wiper Arms

Do the hoses just lay on the bottom of the cowl behind the firewall? Was there a clip for the hose on both the passenger and driver's side wiper transmission as shown in the AIM? Mine only had a clip on the driver's side and this area of the car had not been touched until I took it apart.

They were laid in the cowl, towards the firewall side.
PASS one was looped around the transmission and one on the DVR side not so much so.
My very original 72 did have any clips anywhere in the plenum area for the hoses.

This is how I remember it being (was 11 years ago when I did the restoration).

That is what I will do. Did both wiper transmissions have a clip attached to the one stud and nut to hold the hose in place before attaching to the washer tube?

Think the DVR side having the nutted clip on the stud.
was on the stud closet to the bottom.

don't recall the PASS side having that clip

That is my recollection as well. Took mine apart maybe 10 years ago and just now hooking the washer hoses up.
