    Mystery part!

A friend found this in his 70 Roadster, but I can't identify it and I don't think it's from 1970. Anyone happen to know what this bezel is?? I'm not even sure it's from a Corvette!

    Thanks

Rear deck lock surround for a convertible top?? Not sure if it's for a Corvette, though.

Yeah, that's my problem too. There's no casting number on it so it may not even be a GM part!! It kind of looks familiar, but I just can't place it.

It may have to remain a mystery.

It's not familiar. But my '70 is a coupe.

Looks like a bezel for the front light on a boat..If it had a red/green lens Is it chrome plated brass?

It DOES look like it's nautical, but I scratched the inside and it's not brass. Looks like it's just pot metal. From the nice condition it's in (no blistering), I'd say it might be something inside a car.

Could be a dome light bezel for a car that was built back in the day when interior trim was some type of metal alloy and chrome plated as opposed to plastic that has been used for the past 2 decades or so.
