I don't see that anyone has posted a note, so here is one:
The PA Regional presented by the Pittsburgh Tri-State Chapter is this weekend, August 10-12 in Altoona.
I'm sure it will be open to the public, perhaps for a nominal entrance fee and that would include club
members who are not registered to attend. I have heard there are a lot of cars registered so come on out
if you are nearby and enjoy the spectacle!

Our host facility, the Blair County Convention Center in Altoona, PA, will provide an indoor area for all event cars and special displays, and a sheltered parking garage for operations judging and staging area.

Altoona, PA is nestled in the mountains with interstate highway access from all directions. Altoona, with a rich railroading history boasts plenty of activities, including amusement parks, minor league baseball, antique markets, railroad museums, cave tours and many other family activities for the summer.

Thanks for the notice Don and reply Rick. The Blair County Convention Center in Altoona, PA is a huge arena. Our Pittsburgh Tri-State chapter looks forward to hosting the event this week.
Now JD here may be taking your$10.00 to enter if you have not registered. That's for one day and a good deal.
We have around 50 Corvettes for flight judging and over 7 for PV.
If you are attending the show and need anything just holler. You may not recognize old JD here as lost 50 pounds. Whew!!!!!

Susan Manno Chair of the Western New York Chapter tells me there will be a one owner unrestored '67 L79 convertible at Altoona. The car was recently purchased from the owners estate. It's first appearance was at their Chapter meet this year. Gene Manno the Chapter Judging Chair has confirmed the cars is very original, the cars history is known and has good paperwork. I look forward to seeing this car based on what Gene has had to say about it. You might too.

Gene often teaches the Advanced class. Well worth taking if your interested in the fine details, either as a refresher or a learning experience. it's also a class with generous judging points credit. I suspect Gene will select this car for his class if possible. I know Susan and Gene are attending this Regional.

Of note Susan and Gene received the Presidents Award this year at the at the National Convention in San Antonio for their many contributions over the years. When you see them congratulate 'em.

In regards to Dan's post above, I believe I am correct saying that any member in attendance on a day pass, rather than by registering, is welcome to follow along with the Advanced Judging Class and listen in to the instruction and discussion on the judging floor. If this is not correct I hope that old JD (50 lbs lighter) will correct me. A non-registered member would not be eligible to receive judging points but may watch the discussion.

Don, I actually do not know the answer to your question. But let me say that if someone wants to sit in on a discussion I doubt they will be have an issue. I have no one to ask at the moment as a meeting is going on at the convention center with all concerned but myself.
I will arrive Tomorrow morning.
Anyone wanting to attend and pay the $10.00 and wants to sit in on the classes just ask for JD here but don't tell anyone I told you that.

Day pass allows a person or member to view the cars - ONLY view the cars and nothing else.

Members MUST BE registered to participate in any portion of a NCRS Regional Event
