3888304 is not a finished part number; it's a forging number. In any event, that forging number is very likely the one that was used for the GM #3888342 piston. That piston was used for 1966-69 L-71 and L-72.

Be sure to measure the dome size since over the years there has been many size offerings. I ran into this while building a 427 at .030 over and using aluminum Edelbrock heads. The dome on the forged TRW's was slightly bigger but it runs good on 91/93 premium pump gas. I have only used no corn juice variety. It works out to honest 11:1 compression on paper. That was a few years back and available offerings change.
