    Brake line frame clips

I am confused on which type frame clip is correct for the brake line. The ones I am interested in are the ones that run along the topside of the frame on the left side. I have the assembly manual for the 63 Corvette it lists the clips as part number 148128. However one can not tell from the picture which ones they are.

I have two style clips and would like to know which on is correct.

    style 1

    Style 2

I now there shouldn't be a screw in the middle of the one clip.
It is there to expand the center to hold better.
The clips look perfect but do not seem to clip into the holes well.

I believe the black ones were used on the frame rails.

This old picture seems to have answered my question.

        Hi Richard
My early 1965 built in Dec 1964 had the style 1 clips on the rear cross member securing the brake line from the left rear to the right rear brakes and near the clutch bracket that is welded to the top of the frame. There were 3 of the style 2 clips on top of the frame rail that secured the front to rear brake line going to the left rear brakes

          Thank you very much.
That was exactly the information I was looking for. I will install them with the clip facing so the brake line can be installed by pulling the line towards the outside of the car. The devil is in the details..... I using the old picture for the clip direction.
Seems I may have found the information in the forum by searching for frame clips..
