refinished 1963 valve covers

What product is used to give the 1963 valve covers that nice silver finished, is it sand blasting or a special silver paint

Don't bead blast or sand blast them.
The ones in the picture sure look good, as is.
IMHO many are over restored.

Yes the valve covers are front and center in the engine compartment.
Certainly what gets looked a first.
Should be finished to your comfort level.

I haven't seen DeGregory's work...
Jerry MacNeish 'reskinned' mine - they're pretty but I won't say they have the original look...its very tricky to achieve..

Chuck Smith did a great job on mine. He is in Valley Center CA and has ad in the driveline

Here's my vote for John DeGregory! He's been refinishing aluminum for years. And he doesn't glass bead them!

Nothing will look exactly like the cast originals 50 years ago unless you have a casting factory.
