Original bolt and a current reproduction exhaust manifold bolt 1963-64

Everyone;
Below is a picture of the original bolt and a current reproduction exhaust manifold bolt.
Original has been re-plated in black phosphate and is show on top.
I swear the original has a "U" not an "O" embossed on the head.
Of course my originals were in pretty bad shape from the heating and cooling cycles.
The one show in the picture is the best one of the bunch.
Some had different marks but none of the readable ones had an "O".




For what it's worth.
The reproductions are a reasonable approximation.

I think the ones on my 57 (originals on a 58 engine thats in it currently) are like the repos.

All of the originals that I've ever seen on small blocks appear much more like the one Rick describes as a reproduction than the one described as an original.
