Pictured below is the OEM Capacitor and the replacement I purchased from a major Corvette parts vendor.

The top of the reproduction is the wrong color and it has a strain relief built into the center of it.
Something the original is lacking.
I have included a picture to help identify the Capacitor's location on the motor.

Pictured both caps from the bottom.
Note; There is no identification of any kind on the reproduction Capacitor.

A better picture of the bottom of the original Capacitor. I cleaned it up on a wire wheel to show the detail better.
.

A couple of caps from the same vintage Chevrolet's are show below. Early 60's?
These are not correct for a Corvette at least not mine.
Note; one has the same issue mine has, the broken wire.
The other example has the red top with an extension like the reproduction.
The wire is still intact on this one. At least the top of this one is the correct color.
It appears broken wires were a common issue and the extension was to remedy the issue.

Bottoms of the Capacitors shown above.

Hope this help someone identify the correct item.
Especially If you are building a car with out an original to compare.
