I just received my replacement / reproduction in the mail today.
The original one is like a hunk of carbon i.e. as hard as a rock.
However it is in the engine and I will likely leave it there.
Pictured are two what I believe are originals.
I have a lot of confidence the one still installed in the block that itis the way it came in Dec 1962.
You can see the edge of the sleeve in the block on the orange one.
The other one is a unidentified bushing I had lying around.


Below is a picture of the reproduction grommet.
In the included instructions it mentioned if you have a sleeve in the block to remove it and use the bushing sans the sleeve.
